Today’s goal is to get and working…

It has taken several reinstallations but it looks like this time SecurityOnion will finally take. I plan on placing a monitoring node on each VLAN as well as using the span switch I have between the modem and my router. This will take a bit of time to get fully set up but am piece-mealing it.

While waiting for the installer to complete I have updated the Greenbone OpenVAS community container and have it downloading the latest feeds. Likewise it will take some time to get it performing credentialed scans of all VMs and physical machines but I’ve got to start somewhere.
